Crafted Blends

Beyond a doubt, one of the few hidden gems located within the heart of Sharjah.

Journey: With all the chit chat about a couple of new restaurants/cafes opened up close to University City in Sharjah, we decided to try these places out to grab some grub for our hungry tummies. And boy o’boy, were we impressed!

Golden Treasure: Street Fries

Bite Board :

1. Street Fries [AED 30]: Yummm! We’re definitely coming back for this one. Just when we thought we’ve tried everything when it comes to fries, we get served some Street Fries from Crafted Blends and we’re back to square one. This dish was pure heaven on a plate! Crispy fries loaded with some beef chili, cheddar cheese (lots of it), bacon, crispy onions, jalapeno mixed all together with a special sauce. An absolute flavorful explosion in the mouth, that’s exactly what it was. Quite a generous serving. Do not skip this item on your visit there.

2. Sweet and Spicy Chicken Slider [AED 15]: A perfect crispy fried chicken slider with fresh jalapeno, lettuce and tomato along with a sweet and spicy sauce. The bread bun was fairly soft and all the ingredients complemented each other quite well. The taste was great, portion size was just right for a slider which was served on a wooden plank. Nothing out of the ordinary with this one. It was quite okay, overall.

3. Classic Beef Slider [AED 18]: We had the beef slider next and Wow! This one definite brought back the hype! Absolutely LOVED the classic beef slider. The beef was tender, juicy and simply put, delicious! Served with onion, tomato, pickles and some lettuce which gave it that needed crunch when you bite into it. We loved the blend of sauces and the freshness of the ingredients. An absolute favorite of ours. We definitely recommend this one!

Also to be highlighted is that they’ve surely kept their customers in mind when coming up with the option of choosing a slider or a burger depending on our preferred size. This really helps especially when you’re craving for burgers but not hungry enough for a whole burger; sliders to the rescue!

4. Crispy Churros [AED 29]: For dessert, we got a hold on some crispy sugary Churros. They were coated with sugar and fried to crunchy perfection. Definitely too sweet for our taste but for someone with a sweet tooth we’ll wave the green flag to have a go at this. Thankfully, the churros come with a side of dark chocolate and dulce de leche dips which were our saving grace towards the end. Good portion size, definitely for two!

Service:
Excellent service from the staff and quite friendly too. Even though their menu is quite compact, they’ve covered all the bases with fries, burgers, tacos, pasta, cakes, lattes and a lot more.

Cash Outflow:
We wouldn’t say its pocket friendly but as for the quality and quantity of their appetizers we’d say it’s priced reasonably.
